The world's best AI tools in 2026: which one should your business choose?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Le Chat, Perplexity: there is no single best AI, only a best AI for each task. Here is our choice by use, up to date on 2 November 2026.

AI rankings change every month and often contradict each other. For a business owner, the right question is not which model wins a test but which one saves your team time. So we sorted the tools by use.
One thing to state first: we use Claude every day to build our software, and Google's tools for some videos. Our view is therefore not neutral. It rests on our own practice and on public information from the vendors, not on a laboratory benchmark.
For everyday work: ChatGPT
ChatGPT remains the most used assistant in the world. It writes, summarises, translates, analyses files and creates images. The free version is enough to get started; paying subscribers get GPT-6, OpenAI's latest model. It is a good first choice if you only want one.
For long documents, writing and code: Claude
Claude, from Anthropic, is comfortable with long texts: contracts, reports, tenders. It writes carefully and is widely used in software development. The current range includes Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Fable 5.1. A free version exists.
If your business lives in Google: Gemini
Gemini works with Google services such as Gmail and Drive. If your email and documents are already there, it is the simplest option. Its latest model is called Gemini 4 Argon. The free plan also includes creating and editing images.
For a European alternative: Le Chat
Le Chat is the assistant from Mistral AI, a French company. It appeals to organisations that care about where their tools come from. For large organisations, Mistral also offers private deployments.
For finding information: Perplexity
Perplexity answers a question and cites its sources, which you can open and check. That is useful for market watching, a market study or preparing a meeting.
For images, video and voice
- Images: Google's Nano Banana and ChatGPT's image creation cover most everyday visuals. Midjourney aims for a more artistic look and has no free plan;
- Video: Gemini Omni is now the default model in the Gemini app, and Veo 3.1 is still available. Beware of older comparisons: OpenAI closed Sora, in April 2026 for the app and in September for developers;
- Voice: ElevenLabs generates voice-overs, in French among other languages, with a free plan to try.
What it costs
In early November 2026, ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Google AI Pro and Perplexity Pro cost about 20 dollars a month, and Le Chat Pro about 15 dollars. Prices change and taxes may apply: check the vendor's page, along with availability in your country and accepted payment methods. Start with the free version, then pay for one subscription when it is no longer enough.
Three rules before you start
- do not paste customer, salary or contract data without reading the terms of your plan;
- reread everything that goes to a customer: an AI can be wrong with great confidence;
- try the same real task on two tools: your own result is worth more than a ranking.
Beyond a simple assistant, AI can be connected to your own data and software, under your control. That is our team's work, and our BIKUS IA Academy trains those who want to build for themselves.
