Website or Facebook page: what does your business need?
Many businesses in Cameroon already sell through Facebook and WhatsApp. Do they still need a website? It depends on what you expect from your customers.

What Facebook does well
Facebook reaches a lot of people, makes sharing easy, allows advertising targeted by city or age, and lets you talk directly with customers. For getting known, it is an excellent tool.
What Facebook does not do
- you do not choose who sees your posts: the platform decides;
- older posts sink under new ones, taking your useful information with them;
- a customer searching Google for your trade and your city finds a website more easily than a post;
- the page belongs to the platform: if the account is blocked or hacked, everything stops;
- presenting your services, prices and references clearly is hard there.
Both together
The right answer is rarely one or the other. Facebook grabs attention; the website convinces and captures the enquiry. Put your website link in every post, and a WhatsApp button on your website: each channel feeds the other.
Where to start
A simple website is enough to start: who you are, what you do, where to find you, how to reach you, and what your customers say. Add a Google Business profile to appear on the map. With BIKUS SYSTEM, that website already exists for your trade: we dress it in your colours, from 5,500 FCFA a month.
